İbrahim Yüksel (Tanbur), Ufuk Aşkın (Kanun), Serdar Gökmen (Viyolonsel), Kâşif Demiröz (Ney), Ozan Pars (Vurmalı Sazlar) olmak üzere 6 saz sanatkârı toplam 10 Türk müziği sanatkârı , biri yürütücü 2 sosyoloji ve göstergebilim uzmanı, 1 dil ve edebiyat uzmanı, 1 yazılım uzmanı ve 1 tarihçi bursiyer; toplamda 24 uzman ve sanatçının yanı sıra lisans ve yüksek lisans düzeyinde sosyoloji ve konservatuar öğrencileri bu projede yer almıştır. "Turkish Classical Music is a significant cultural value since it has a rich content in terms of cultural, social and musical aspects. However it has been neglected so far by the social researchers who deal with culture and its products. The fewness of the socio-scientific and particularly multidisciplinary studies upon Turkish Classical Music indicates the necessity for the examination of such a cultural value. The major reason which motivates us in dealing with such a problematic is the conviction that this need should be met. In such a research project that aims at examining the musical pieces in an interdisciplinary and profound way, it is obvious we have to limit the scope of the research project. Thus, the scope covers the pieces which are thought to represent their period best among the ones which are non-religious, lyrical and composed in classical period in a classical form. In this context, 109 Turkish Classical Music artworks composed by 10 great composers of classical period were scrutinized from the perspectives of sociology, music and semiology. In this study, linguistics, history and semantics are determined as collateral disciplines. In parallel with this multifaceted nature of the research, the project team consists of specialists from each discipline covered in this project."
